What is RSS and how do i use it?
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and is a way of connecting news headlines, blogs, photos, podcasts and other Plastic Toys information into other websites and computer software. A stream of this information is called a “feed” and comes in the form of a special web page made in a language called XML. You can take a feed and add it into different websites and software to keep up to date with what’s going on with Plastic Toys .
Most people add RSS news feeds to an RSS reader (a “news reader”) like Google Reader, Bloglines, Netvibes, Newz Crawler, Feed Demon or Awasu.
You can add our Podcast feed to iTunes or a media player like Juice.
How do i join you on Second Life?
You need to register on the Second Life website and download their software onto your computer.
How do i download your photos, music and videos?
For photos, right click on the photo you want to save, and then click “Save Picture As...”. Choose a place to put it on your computer and press “Save”.
We don’t allow people to download our music directly unless we specifically release an MP3 file for you to listen to.
For videos, you can download movies on YouTube and Google Video a few different ways. Some software like RealPlayer will do it for you automatically, and if you use the Firefox browser there are lots of extensions that will save videos for you. The easiest way is to look for a website that will allow you to put in the address of the video page and give you a way to download the video on it directly, like this one.
